Terms and Conditions

Name of Competition: Deakin Residential Services June Competition Draw

Eligible Entrants: This Competition is free to enter and is open to all students who submit a completed enquiry form at https://accommodation.deakin.edu.au/contact-us/general-enquiry or application form located
https://deakin.starrezhousing.com/StarRezPortalX/09C8CB69/6/1761/Register-Register_?ReturnUrl=%2FStarRezPortalX%2FAB64FB1E%2F1%2F1%2FHome-Home between Wednesday June 1st 2022 and Thursday June 30th 2022 in the manner set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Competition Period

This Competition commences at 9.00 am AEST on 01/06/2022 and closes at 11.59 pm AEST on 30/06/2022.

How to Enter

Entrants must:

1. Entrants must simply complete the enquiry form at https://accommodation.deakin.edu.au/contact-us/general-enquiry or application form located

2. Entrants who successfully submit the registration or application form will automatically receive one entry into this Competition.

Selection of Winners

The selection of winners will be conducted on Thursday June 30th 2022 at 10am AEST at Residential services, Deakin University, Geelong Waterfront Campus, 1 Gheringhap Street, Geelong, Vic, 3220.

The Prize/s

1. There are 10 in total, to be drawn in the following order:

   1. 10th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   2. 9th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   3. 8th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   4. 7th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   5. 6th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   6. 5th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   7. 4th prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   8. 3rd prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   9. 2nd prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

   10. 1st prize = Coles/Myer or Woolworths cash card valued at $100

2. The total prize pool is valued at $1000. 10 winners will be drawn randomly with prizes awarded in draw order.

Competition Details

Notification of Winners

Winners will be notified by phone or email. The names of the winners will also be published online at Deakin Res Social Media channels Facebook and Instagram within 14 days of the date of the draw. If the winner of a prize does not claim the prize within 21 days of the date of the draw, the prize is forfeited.

Delivery of Prizes

Winners will be emailed the prize and are responsible for the risk of loss. Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin Residential Services decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin Residential Services accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be
deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition is being run by Deakin Residential Services Pty Ltd ABN 22 145 979 344 (DRS).

2. The competition details above and any promotional materials for the competition form part of these Terms and Conditions (T&C’s).

3. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these T&C’s and entries must comply with the T&C’s to be valid.

4. DRS accepts no responsibility for incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries.

5. If a winner does not claim the prize within 21 days of DRS attempting to notify them they will forfeit the prize.

6. Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize.

7. Entrants may only register for this Competition once via each link.

8. Employees of Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this Competition.

9. DRS’s decisions on all aspects of this competition are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. Entrants consent to DRS using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants who win a prize agree to make themselves available for photograph and interview if requested by DRS.

11. DRS accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to any extent for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prizes, whether during or after the competition.

12. Personal information provided to DRS by entrants will be used to conduct the competition, notify the winners and, where relevant, to publish the winners’ names. You are not required to provide the information requested, however, if the information is not provided, DRS may not be able to register you for the competition.

13. DRS manages personal information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). DRS’s Privacy Policy is available at https://accommodation.deakin.edu.au/privacy. For further information regarding your personal information please contact us by email to drsprivacy@deakin.edu.au. This competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.

14. DRS reserves the right to cancel, delay or modify the competition or amend these T&C’s at any time.
