Whilst COVID has impacted some of the ways you and your students have previously interacted with us and learnt about our on-campus experience, we are continually exploring creative ways of sharing relevant information and providing an insight into what life is like at Deakin Res.
Webinars: Discover what it's like to live on or off campus at Deakin and get a taste of university life with our on-demand webinars. Our accommodation webinar series will answer all your questions about living on res at Deakin as well as show you how DeakinRes has adapted to keep students safe and connected. Hear from residential staff as well as current students and learn how DeakinRes has positively contributed to their time at Deakin.
Residential Tours: The Deakin Res team welcomes individuals or school groups to our various campuses to explore the residential precinct, learn more about the student experience and speak with current students and staff [subject to restrictions].
School Visits: Our team is happy to work with you to arrange a suitable time to visit your school to speak to students and share more information about the residential experience. We can tailor make a presentation to suit your needs, interests, and timing.
Resources: We’re happy to provide a range of content including printed or electronic brochures and downloadable resources to share with your students (smaller bite-sized excerpts for inclusion on social media pages, any newsletters or in presentations). This also includes access to a series of six research appears highlighting how your students can benefit both socially and academically from living within on campus accommodation.
Sharing Student Experiences: We provide a home to students from around Victoria, Australia and the world, who are keen to share their experiences. We’re happy to explore whether a graduate of your high school, or from your region, is able to speak to your current students as we know this personal approach can have much greater impact. You might also be interested to read or forward on some of the stories we’ve been sharing on our Deakin Res Blog. We cover news from our alumni, current residents, and provide information about life on campus.
