With multiple tour times available throughout the day, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to explore at your own pace. You’ll get to check out our fully furnished rooms, shared kitchens, study spaces, chill-out areas and social areas that make Deakin Res such a popular place to live.
But Deakin Res is about much more than just the buildings - it’s about the experience. When you visit, you’ll get a genuine feel for what life could look like if you chose to call Deakin Res home.
What Makes Deakin Res So Special?

Instant community - Living on Res means becoming part of a vibrant and welcoming community. There are regular events and activities included as part of living on Res. From relaxed craft groups and movie nights to larger social events and day trips. It’s a great way to meet new people, try new things, and build friendships from day one.
24/7 support - Moving away from home can feel like a big step, but you’re never on your own. Deakin Res offers 24/7 support through dedicated staff including Night Welfare Coordinators, Reception and Campus Life teams, and Campus Support Officers. From academic guidance to wellbeing support, there’s always someone around to help if you need it.
A safe and secure environment - Your wellbeing is a top priority. With secure buildings, supportive staff, and a strong sense of community, Deakin Res is designed to be a safe and comfortable home away from home.
