Recent Deakin announcements will help life on campus move toward
COVID-normal in 2022, with many classes, seminars and hands-on learning
activities to be delivered in person. At Deakin Res, we will offer a blended
program of diverse activities to help residents settle into life on campus and
get the most out of university. We are excited about the opportunities that
this will provide for our incoming and returning students in 2022.

Deakin Residential Services operates all its premises under
a proven COVIDSafe management plan, in line with current regulations and with
a continuing focus on safety and wellbeing. More broadly, Deakin University is
committed to providing the safest possible environment for study and enjoyment,
and from 5 November 2021 this includes mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all
students, staff and visitors to campus
.

At Deakin Res, a range of COVIDSafe measures have been in place
since 2020 including hand sanitising stations, increased cleaning and more
regular welfare checks, and these will continue into 2022. We will continue to
be guided by government advice and restrictions at all times, and our staff
and student leaders are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable on-campus
experience. These initiatives are supported by our Belong, Balance, Broaden wellbeing and
engagement model, tailor made to adapt to life during the COVID-19
pandemic and beyond.

To facilitate this positive and safe environment we require residents to follow all current COVID-19 regulations as instructed.

We know our conveniently located residences, proven COVIDSafe plan, 24/7
onsite team and world class security are some of the services that allow
us to offer a safe, connected and well managed experience.

To our incoming and returning students, we hope you are excited for what 2022 may bring. We are committed to standing side-by-side with all of our residents and supporting you throughout your journey with us.
